Nominations for delhi assembly elections begin...
The election commission has announced the dates for the delhi assembly elections 2025. The results will be announced after voting on february 5 and counting on february 8. At the same time, the process of filing nominations by the candidates has started from today (Friday, january 10), which will continue till January 17.
On the first day of nomination, a total of 9 candidates filed their nominations from different assembly seats. These 9 candidates include 6 from the 'Right to Recall Party', one each from the Rashtriya Rashtrawadi party and Garib Aadmi Party. Apart from this, an independent candidate has also filed his nomination.
Nominations can be withdrawn till january 20
According to the schedule released by the election commission, nominations for the delhi assembly elections have started from January 10. The last day to file nominations is january 17. After this, nominations will not be accepted. After this, the nomination papers will be scrutinized on january 18. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is Monday, january 20. Currently, the code of conduct is in force.
All 70 assembly seats of delhi will go for polling on february 5 simultaneously. Generally, the polling process starts at 7 am and continues till 5 pm to 6 pm. The date for vote counting will be saturday, february 8. The results will start coming out by saturday afternoon and the final vote count will be out by saturday evening. With this, it will also be decided which party will form the government in Delhi.
