On friday (January 10, 2025), the rupee fell by 18 paise against the US dollar for the first time to cross the level of 86. Later it closed at 86.04 against the US currency. According to the report of the news agency PTI, forex traders said that the prices of crude oil have increased abroad and there is a negative sentiment in the stock markets in India and due to this the indian currency has been affected.


The rupee opened at 85.88 in the market. After touching its highest level of 85.85 during trading, it crossed the level of 86 and closed at an all-time low of 86.04 against the dollar. On Thursday, the rupee closed at 85.86 with a gain of 5 paise against the US dollar.
