The name of the company formed after the demerger of Unilever's ice cream business will be Quality Wall's (India) Ltd. This decision has been taken on the recommendation of an independent committee. Quality Walls will be operated as an independent company, completely separate from Hindustan Unilever. Hindustan Unilever's regulatory filing said that the company had decided to de-merge the ice cream business on november 25 itself. This committee was formed in september 2024.

It was said that the ice cream business has a different operating model from the rest of the FMCG products. It has different ways of doing business, from maintaining the cold chain. They do not match with the rest of the FMCG business. Therefore, it is beneficial to operate it under a separate company. HUL will issue 100 percent of its shares and will also subscribe to it.
