Muslim Voters Percentage In Delhi

With congress leaders putting in their full strength in the delhi assembly elections, this time the election is likely to be triangular on many seats. The activism of congress has also put people of a particular community in a dilemma in assembly seats with Muslim majority voters. Generally, people are of the opinion that to defeat bjp, Muslim voters will vote in favor of either AAP or Congress.

This is the reason that in assembly constituencies with the majority of Muslim voters, voters of minority communities have become very important for the political future of both parties. TOI quoted Mohammad Salim of Seelampur market after an election discussion on this, saying that being a minority voter, he will choose either AAP or congress to stop bjp on february 5.

On the other hand, Chandrachur Singh, professor of political science at Hindu College, says that it is not rocket science that Muslims will not vote for BJP. If elections are held today, most Muslim voters can vote in favor of AAP. In the coming days, this issue will largely depend on what strategy and form Congress will use to present its campaign, manifesto, and candidates to the voters.

In fact, out of 70 seats in delhi, 6 seats are Muslim-dominated and the population of Muslim voters on these six seats is very important in terms of election results.
