They threatened to release the pirate print if they did not receive the enormous sum they requested. The crew said that the HD print was made accessible online right after the film's premiere, and that important narrative points were published on social media two days before to the release.

The filmmakers questioned whether this group was operating on its own initiative or in response to outside pressure. The filmmakers started looking into the allegations. The group stated that they had lodged complaints against these accounts and hinted at the possibility of pursuing more legal action.
