YouTuber Zara Dar, who rose to fame after abandoning her doctorate to work as an adult video maker on OnlyFans, has disclosed a surprising development in her approach to content creation. She recently revealed that she has started posting her STEM-related movies to Pornhub and YouTube and that she shockingly makes more money from the latter.

Higher Earnings on Pornhub Despite Fewer Views
In her statement, Dar clarified that while her STEM videos have more views on YouTube, the ad money she receives on Pornhub is almost three times greater. She said that although her neural networks video had almost a million views on YouTube, it only generated $340 in ad income. In comparison, she received $1,000 for the same film on Pornhub, which had just 32,000 views.

LinkedIn Account Blocked After Viral Post
Unexpected repercussions for Dar resulted from the viral comparison of the two sites' ad earnings. She said that after uploading the post comparing her earnings from Pornhub and YouTube, her LinkedIn account was disabled. Dar vented her outrage in a follow-up post on X, stating that her account was abruptly disabled when the post attracted the attention of prominent X influencers.

Career Shift from Academia to Adult Content Creation
Zara Dar made waves in december when she declared she was quitting her PhD degree to concentrate on her work with OnlyFans. She attributed her choice in large part to OnlyFans's financial stability and its ability to release her from the constraints of academics. Dar has persisted in posting instructional materials, such as STEM films, on both platforms despite the change.
