Social media users have criticized the police officer for not wearing a helmet while riding a bike and for slapping a young person for crossing the street recklessly after seeing the incident's footage.

The young person is seen in the video staring at his phone as he crosses the street. He avoids a potential accident as the police officer on the bike slows down, and the young person suddenly stops upon spotting him. The police officer then gives the young person a firm slap on the cheek.

The teenager squatted on the road, gripping his ear, clearly in agony from the power of the slap.

The young person, named as Mohan Raj, is reportedly employed by a private enterprise and hails from the chinna Vedapatti neighborhood of Coimbatore. While he was traveling to a store in the Nallampalayam region to purchase some items for his business, Jayaprakash hit him. The incident's CCTV footage is presently trending on social media. The event has created a stir in the community. The police officer who beat a guy who was attempting to cross the street on a two-wheeler despite not obeying traffic laws is being criticized by online users.
