How many indians will be able to go on Haj pilgrimage this year? 

India on monday signed an agreement with saudi arabia for this year's Haj and like last year, this time also a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims has been fixed. Prime minister Narendra Modi welcomed this agreement between the two countries and said that the government is committed to ensuring a better experience for indian Haj pilgrims.


Minority Affairs minister Kiren Rijiju signed the agreement with Saudi Arabia's Haj and Umrah minister Tawfiq bin Fauzan Al-Rabiah in Jeddah.

In a written reply to a question in the rajya sabha last month, Rijiju had said that under the quota for the year 2025, 70 percent of the Haj pilgrims will go through the indian Haj Committee and 30 percent through private tour operators.
