According to a police official on Tuesday, a 47-year-old psychologist in nagpur has been taken into custody for allegedly raping and blackmailing at least 50 females during the last 15 years. The police also said that the psychologist, identified as Rajesh Dhoke, a father of two, sexually molested young girls while posing as a counselor at residential programs.

The Scheduled Castes and scheduled tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act were the grounds for Rajesh's detention.

Modus Operandi
According to authorities, Rajesh used to host personal development programs in rural locations like Bhandara and Gondia, where he also sexually abused the females.

To prevent the victims from telling the police about the crimes, he would also snap obscene photos of them and use them as blackmail. He persisted in threatening the victims even after they were married.

Rajesh has been accused of abusing women in his community on many occasions, and police have obtained CCTV evidence that demonstrates his improper and predatory behavior.

Locals are outraged by his conduct, and as a result, he has been physically assaulted by them on several occasions. However, he maintained his unsettling actions with no indication of regret or change, suggesting that these encounters had no impact.

After one of his former students complained to the Hudkeshwar police about being repeatedly abused and blackmailed, the issue gained attention.
