Elon Musk Is Hiring software Engineers to Build ‘Everything App’,

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla, is looking to hire software engineers to help build an ambitious “everything app”. The key requirement for the role? A passion for coding. Musk recently announced on ‘X’  that the focus will be on skills, not educational background or previous experience with big-name companies.

In a post on ‘X’, Musk invited interested candidates to apply by sending their best work to code@x.com, stating, “If you’re a hardcore software engineer and want to build the everything app, please join us by sending your best work to code@x.com. We don’t care where you went to school or even whether you went to school or what ‘big name’ company you worked at. Just show us your code.”

Musk’s vision for the “everything app” is to create a comprehensive platform that offers a wide range of services, including messaging, social networking, peer-to-peer payments, and e-commerce. This concept, known as a super app, has seen success in Asia, with WeChat in china being one of the most popular examples. WeChat allows users to book rides, send money, and make payments in stores, boasting over a billion monthly users. Another prominent example is Grab in Southeast Asia, which provides services such as food delivery, ride-hailing, and financial services.

Additionally, X CEO Linda Yaccarino recently hinted at the upcoming launch of financial services on the platform, under the name ‘X Money’. On january 1, 2025, Yaccarino teased the future of X, saying, “In 2024, X changed the world. Now, YOU are the media! 2025 X will connect you in ways never thought possible. X TV, X Money, Grok and more. Buckle up. Happy New Year!”
