According to reports, Praveen, who works for a private company, filmed his private conversations with suhasi and saved the video on a pen drive and his cell phone. Later, he threatened her with these recordings, saying that if she didn't comply with his requests, he would show her parents the footage.
Praveen escalated his harassment after becoming enraged by their encounters, which he learned about through whatsapp messages. He called and threatened suhasi repeatedly, requesting that they meet in a hotel room he had reserved on ITPL Main Road.
At 10 p.m., she passed away from her wounds after being taken to victoria Hospital.
Praveen Singh was taken into custody by the HAL police on suspicion of aiding and abetting suicide. According to investigations, he threatened to post the private recordings online to pressure suhasi into continuing their connection.
"A 25-year-old woman died by suicide within the jurisdiction of the HAL police station," said Whitefield Division DCP Shivakumar, who was speaking about the case. About the occurrence, a lawsuit has been filed. The accused had forced the woman into a sexual connection by blackmailing her with intimate images. The woman took drastic measures because she could no longer stand the harassment.
The DCP further disclosed that suhasi and praveen had been friends for six years and had at first enjoyed a friendly connection. But she was pushed to the limit by his latest harassment.
"The defendant threatened to make her personal images and videos public when reserving a stay at the Radha Hotel. The woman bought fuel and burned herself on fire because she couldn't bear the harassment," he said.
