Nazriya Nazim and Fahadh Faasil, two well-known figures in the malayalam film industry, have been together since 2014. Following Fahadh's recent diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), the couple experienced a difficult time in their personal lives.

In an interview with manorama Online, Nazriya discussed their lives following Fahadh's sickness and stated that she had begun to notice behavioral changes in the actor even before he was officially diagnosed.

"Fahadh has ADHD, but I started living with Shanu (Fahadh) before we were aware of this condition," Nazriya stated.

The actress went on to say that she had been dealing with his oddities for some time and that they gradually became a part of their life.

She said that although the diagnosis could have made her more patient, there has been no other notable difference in their life.

"Now that we know about the condition, I may have become a little more patient, but other than that, nothing in our life has changed," Nazriya stated.

Comprehending ADHD

The symptoms of adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) include several recurring problems. These include impulsive behavior, hyperactivity, and trouble focusing. Relationship instability, subpar work or academic performance, low self-esteem, and other difficulties might result from this mental health illness.

Some persons with ADHD have less symptoms as they become older. Nonetheless, a lot of individuals still deal with severe symptoms that affect how they operate daily.

Adult ADHD is characterized by restlessness, impulsivity, and trouble concentrating. The severity of these symptoms might range from mild to severe.

How to Help Your Partner Who Has ADHD

Enhance Your Communication: Symptoms of ADHD include forgetfulness and trouble concentrating, which can cause misunderstandings, especially if the other person feels held responsible. More regular communication and less accusatory handling of issues are recommended.

Putting Your Strengths First: In addition to personality quirks, ADHD sometimes shows up as extraordinary creativity and problem-solving skills. The greatest way to make your spouse feel needed is to play to their strengths and manage responsibilities.

Emphasis on Understanding and Patience: ADHD can be quite overwhelming at times, and it's important to understand that it's not something you can choose. It's advised to create a more loving and caring environment and concentrate on your partner's intentions rather than their actions. Despite the fact that discontent is rather normal, maintaining empathy should come first.

Respect Boundaries and Individual Differences: Every person with ADHD manages the disease differently, and although reminders and organizational tools may be beneficial to some, they may be too much for others. Consequently, it's essential to have a conversation about what works and what doesn't for your relationship.
