Her breakthrough performance in Sita Ramam, which earned her a unique place in telugu film and a sizable fan following, was a major factor in Mrunal Thakur's ascent to fame. Her subsequent picture, Hi Nanna, also proved to be a successful venture. Her status in bollywood hasn't increased as expected, though. Since Family Star's terrible demise, her possibilities in tollywood have also decreased.

Despite these obstacles, she has been working hard to establish herself in Bollywood. It appears that she has now landed another significant chance that might propel her career forward. According to reports, she would appear in a follow-up to the popular bollywood movie Son of Sardaar, which featured ajay Devgn.

The first segment was a remake of Maryada Ramanna, the popular film directed by SS Rajamouli. The sequel's status as a remake has not been confirmed by any publications. Although the sequel is anticipated to maintain certain parallels to Rajamouli's original, the creators intend to make it much larger with new twists and a different viewpoint.

The producers will undoubtedly use the popularity of the first film, which included Rajamouli's touch, to market SOS 2. It remains to be seen if Mrunal Thakur's bollywood career will benefit in any way from Rajamouli's branding. Comedy, emotional drama, and familial ties will all be featured in the movie, and its creators intend to add new perspectives to increase its entertainment value. July 25, 2025, is the scheduled release date for the sequel.
