Pod taxi to be introduced in Hyderabad..!?

Traffic jams are one of the common problems faced by megacities. At a snail's pace, when crores of working hours are being lost due to traffic jams on the roads. Pod taxis are being said to be the solution to them. They are planning to bring this system to hyderabad soon. What is a pod taxi? How does it work? It will be interesting to see the details like this. This pod taxi, which is expected to be made available within three years, is being initially brought to two routes that are the most congested areas. One of these is Rayadurgam - Kondapur and the other is Rayadurgam - Knowledge City. The distance between these two is 14.8 km. A total of 55 stops will be set up. The maximum speed is 40 km per hour.
What is this pod taxi? It is to create a system to go directly from metro stations to offices. Going directly into buildings with huge towers on special routes reduces traffic on the roads. To explain the pod taxi in more detail, it is treated as 'personal rapid transit. The pod car works on battery or electricity. This environmentally friendly transport system can accommodate 6-8 people. There are no drivers in these. As long as the passengers sit in it.. there are touchpads (like floor buttons in an elevator) to select the place they want to go. Through these, 10 thousand passengers can reach their destinations per hour during traffic rush hours. It is said that this number will be up to one lakh people a day.

An estimate of Rs. 1480 crore has been prepared to run these in two areas of the IT corridor in particular. A comprehensive project report related to this has been prepared. As part of this, the first elevator corridor will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 880 crores over a distance of 8.8 km. This corridor will be between Metro - ITC Kohinoor - Knowledge City. There will be a total of 28 stops in this corridor. The second will be built at a distance of six kilometers at an estimated cost of Rs. 600 crores. There will be a total of 27 stops in this corridor. It will run between Rayadurgam Metro - Tech mahindra - Hi-Tech City, Kondapur. In fact, this pod taxi system was brought to the fore by the previous government. Otherwise, no decisions were taken in that government. Although the then government said that it would sign an agreement with Ultra PRT Limited. It did not materialize. By making this system available under the revanth government, it is hoped to check traffic jams along with the appearance of the hyderabad metropolis.
