In the murder case of Athira, the wife of a temple priest in Kadinamkulam, the accused's testimony has come to light. Johnson, the accused's boyfriend, cut her neck during their sexual encounter. Then, donning her husband's clothes, he made his getaway. Johnson claimed to the police that he murdered her because she was attempting to elude him. However, the police also suspect financial activities.
 
On tuesday at 11.30 am, Athira (30) of Venjaramoodu was discovered dead. Rajeev, Athira's spouse, is a priest in the Kadinamkulam temple of Bharanikad. Yesterday, Johnson was apprehended in kottayam from Chingavanam. Following his admission that he had swallowed poison at the time, the accused was sent to the kottayam Medical college Hospital. He will be sent to Kadinamkulam following treatment, where he will be subjected to a thorough interrogation.

On the day of the occurrence, the accused arrived at her home at 6:30 a.m. while lodging at a resort in Perumathura. Johnson waited for her husband and kids to leave the house by wandering about the grounds. Around nine in the morning, he went into her home. After asking Athira to make him some tea, he stole the knife and concealed it beneath the bed's mattress while she walked to the kitchen. Johnson took the knife and cut her neck as they were having sex. 

He informed investigators that after cutting her, he took the knife out and cut her throat. He returned with her husband's clothing on, his own blood-stained garment. He used Athira's motorbike to get to Chirayinkeezhu railway station, where he got out of the car and took a train to Kottayam.
 
They had been dating for a year when Johnson became Athira's instagram friend. Sharing reels was the beginning of their friendship. The two engaged in some financial transactions. Athira had originally provided Johnson about Rs one lakh, the investigative team discovered. Three days before to the murder, he had taken out a loan from her. By displaying her intimate photos, he intimidated her. Additionally, he had Athira leave her spouse and accompany him. He murdered her when she refused. According to the authorities, this may be the motivation behind the murder.
