On Monday, january 20, United Breweries declared its decision to immediately begin beer shipments to telangana Beverages Corporation Limited (TGBCL). This decision comes after "constructive discussions" with TGBCL, during which the firm promised to immediately resolve pricing and unpaid payment concerns.

The business made it clear that this action is a temporary choice taken with stakeholders, employees, and customers in mind. United Breweries stressed that they will continue to communicate with TGBCL and keep an eye on the situation even as they resume supply.

Due to disagreements over price with TGBCL, United Breweries had already halted beer deliveries to telangana on january 8. But in light of the most recent guarantees, the business has chosen to resume supplying the state with beer, hoping that TGBCL would promptly address the problems. Popular beer brands including Kingfisher Premium, Kingfisher Strong, Kingfisher Ultra, Amstel, Heineken, and Heineken silver are among those produced by United Breweries.

Liquor sales in telangana hit a record high on Monday, reaching Rs 402 crore ahead of New Year's Eve. Even with this remarkable one-day number, december sales are 15% lower than they were during the same time in 2023. Although there was a lively party scene in Hyderabad, sales in the nearby and bordering areas were equally noteworthy and frequently competed with those in the city.
