On november 22, the malayalam film Sookshmadarshini, which starred Basil Joseph and Nazriya Nazim, was released in theaters. The film was well welcomed by viewers. On january 11th, Sookshmadarshini was made available on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform following its triumphant theatrical run. Most individuals expressed appreciation for the film after seeing it.

On social media, however, several tamil viewers expressed conflicting opinions, stating that while the final thirty minutes of Sookshmadarshini were entertaining, the film was just mediocre overall, despite the hype. However, some tamil viewers went a step further and said that malayalam films were just mediocre; the majority of them fell short of the standards for which they had been praised.

Additionally, tamil films are far superior to malayalam films; nonetheless, some tamil viewers express their admiration for malayalam films in an attempt to pride themselves as moviegoers. These kinds of comparisons between audiences speaking different languages are typically common on social media, but this time it appeared startling because while many critics were lauding malayalam films for being the best in india in terms of content quality, some tamil audiences were responding negatively. This has shocked many fans.
