Kanchan Joshi was studying for her MSc at IIT delhi when Deepinder Goyal first met her. The two became acquaintances and quickly fell in love after sharing lab sessions at the institute's Mathematics and Computing department.
A year before he and his friend and coworker Pankaj Chaddah co-founded Zomato, Deepinder and Kanchan were married in 2007. After years of blissful marriage, the couple's relationship deteriorated and they eventually got divorced.
