One of the major blockbusters of 2024 was kalki 2898 AD. There was a lot of excitement for a sequel because the film finished on a cliffhanger. Some sources now suggest that the second episode may shortly start development. The highly anticipated sequel is expected to begin filming in june 2025, according to manobala Vijayabalan's post on X. However, this is still conjecture as the producers have not yet made an official statement.

He said that the sequel will give kamal haasan greater screen time. It is anticipated that the moments starring prabhas and kamal haasan will be a significant highlight.

Deepika Padukone and amitabh bachchan will also return to their well-known roles. kalki 2898 AD, a science fiction dystopian epic with Hindu mythological roots, was directed by Nag Ashwin.
