After sharing a picture of herself with batsman Mohammed Siraj, Zanai Bhosle, the granddaughter of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, became embroiled in controversy. Rumor had it that they were in a romantic relationship. Zanai and Siraj put an end to the rumors about their romance once they were widely circulated. They referred to one another as sister and brother.
 
Numerous celebrities attended Zanai's 23rd birthday celebration. Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, Jackie Shroff, and a number of other people were present for the birthday celebration. Her picture with Siraj went viral, sparking rumors that they were dating.
 On her instagram Stories, she reposted the image and captioned it, "Mere pyaare bhai (my dear brother) (sic)," and included a flower and glitter emoji.

Siraj reposted the photo on his story and wrote, "Meri behen ke jaisi koi behna nahin. Bina iske kahin bhi mujhe rehna nahin. Jaise hai chaand sitaaron mein, meri behna hai ek hazaaro mein (There is no one like my sister. I don't want to stay anywhere without her. I sister is one of a kind like the moon and stars) (sic)." Zanai re-shared it with a heart emoji.
