Vetri Maaran and Anurag Kashyap's Bad girl is getting ready for its international premiere at the 54th international Film festival in Rotterdam. It is scheduled to participate in the esteemed tiger tournament. On january 27, G Kshatriyan, the director of Droupadi, criticized Vetri Maaran for the way Brahmins were portrayed in the movie. Varsha bharath is the writer and director of the coming-of-age movie, which will center on the difficulties faced by women.

The movie's trailer, which starred anjali Sivaraman as a teenage girl who always desired a lover, was shown on sunday at an event in Chennai. She experiences difficulties as an adolescent from a Brahmin family and her parents frequently step in to help her. She feels embarrassed when she starts talking to a guy and becomes personal with him.

She is forced to leave her house after an incident. She may now become the person she has always desired thanks to her choice. The mother and daughter discuss a dating app as the teaser concludes.

Additionally, the Bad girl teaser has caused controversy. In his post on X, director Mohan G. kshatriya made fun of Vetri Maaran and anurag kashyap for the way Brahmins were portrayed in the movie. For those who are unaware, Mohan G is well-known for his caste-based movies that exalt backward ideologies.

"Happened to watch #BadGirl, and it’s truly a bold and refreshing film! director #VetriMaaran deserves immense credit for backing such a daring story. The film powerfully portrays women’s struggles and social expectations through a unique new wave cinema style. Congratulations #varsha (sic)," his post read.
