At Singapore's Changi airport, a 62-year-old lady of indian descent was arrested for stealing goods worth more than $1,120 from four separate stores in the transit area.

Since these kinds of events are uncommon at airports, many were startled when the robberies happened right before her scheduled trip.

When the airport employees noticed the woman acting strangely on december 23, they called the police. They were suspicious when they noticed her coming and going from many places without buying anything. Investigations revealed that the stores were devoid of souvenirs and fragrances.

After verifying that things had been stolen, a staff member quickly reported the incident to the police. Before the woman could board her aircraft, airport police quickly arrived and took her into custody. The pilfered items were discovered hidden within her handbag.

According to investigations, the lady reportedly visited four separate establishments, hiding different goods in her luggage before departing without making a purchase. She seemed to know how to avoid notice, even at her advanced age.

The indian national woman is expected to appear in court on january 23 to answer to allegations of stealing in her home. She can be sentenced to up to seven years in jail and fined if found guilty.

According to authorities, stealing is a severe offense, especially in crowded places like airports. They told the public that they are working with airport employees and merchants to stop such occurrences from happening again.

Since older people are sometimes seen as role models, it is depressing to see events like these occur involving them. This incident emphasizes how crucial it is for both tourists and merchants to be attentive in order to ensure that such behavior is promptly identified and dealt with.
