Good news for employees of closed IT company in Coimbatore. Company announces action


Thousands of employees who lost their jobs due to an American company that closed down without prior notice in coimbatore took to the streets in a single day. Their interview at the coimbatore District Collector's Office, where they stood in shock, moved many people. The government, which took immediate action in this matterheld talks through the Labor Department. Subsequently, the IT company has agreed to pay the outstanding salary and gratuity to 3,000 employees on january 31.

A private IT company called 'Focus Edumatics' was operating in the R.S. Puram and Sungam areas of Coimbatore. The company also has branches in Bangalore and Chennai. More than a thousand employees were working in the IT company headquartered in the US. It was operating as a private training center that provided online education to people in the US.


The company, which was started in 2010has been operating for 15 years. Suddenly, they got a call last Friday. They got a call saying that they were shutting down for IT services until 12 noon. Then they said to work from home. If not, take a leave.


So everyone went home and worked. saturday and sunday are holidays. In this case, they had arranged a meeting at 8.30 pm last Saturday. They had arranged it as an emergency meeting. After that, an email came at 9.15. They said that the company would be shut down immediately, that is, the email said that the Focus Edumatics branch in coimbatore would be permanently closed on the same day. They also said that all the employees in coimbatore would be dismissed immediately.

Due to this, they lost their jobs in one day. The employees of Focus Edumatics did not receive any experience certificate, salary, gratuity, or salary for those on maternity leave. It is said that the company had stated that all the employees working there had gone missing.


In a strong protest against this, the employees staged a protest in front of the coimbatore District Collectorate demanding action against the company Focus Edumatics. They demanded that they continue to receive their salaries. Those who had worked for more than five years should be given settlement, gratuity, etc., they said in a petition to the coimbatore District Collector. Following this, the government took immediate action in this matter and held talks through the Labor Department. Following this, the IT company has agreed to pay the outstanding salaries and gratuity to the 3,000 employees who worked there on january 31.
