The event reportedly took place at Daund's St. Sebastian's english School. The professors were informed by a female student that one of the boys in her class had falsified his parent's signature. As a result, the accused student became enraged and reportedly gave a student from a different class a Rs 100 "supari" (contract) with instructions to rape and kill the girl.
The principal of the school and two instructors tried to hide the occurrence in order to prevent slander, rather than confronting the gravity of the problem. But when the girl told her parents about the unsettling threat, the issue finally came to light.
The event happened on november 22, 2024, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., during school hours. The principal of the school called all the children involved, including the girl, after she told her professors about the fake signature. At this time, the accused student admitted to giving the other boy the bribe. Additionally, he allegedly gave the girl's father the Rs 100 back. In spite of this, the principal and the teachers attempted to place the responsibility on the girl by claiming that she had made up the narrative in order to disparage the student. To prevent such issues, they even suggested that she transfer to a different school.
The parents of the girl complained to the Daund police because they were dissatisfied with the school's lack of responsibility and appropriate reaction. Under certain provisions of the indian Penal Code and the Juvenile Justice Act, an inquiry was started, and a case was filed against the principal, the class instructor, and another teacher. Mental harassment and trying to damage the victim's academic reputation by hiding the critical occurrence are among the allegations.
Given the school's efforts to repress such a serious crime, this worrying instance has sparked worries about the safety and mental health of pupils in classrooms.
