Due to disturbances brought on by VIP movements, the maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, a significant spiritual event that attracts millions to the Triveni Sangam, has drawn a lot of criticism. Although the occasion is supposed to be a time of prayer and tranquility, many pilgrims have found it to be hectic since important locations were often closed to dignitaries.

Angry devotees were seen complaining about the inconvenience in a number of films that went viral on social media. One side of the roads going to the Sangam was crowded with pilgrims who were having difficulty moving, while the other side was reserved for VIPs. Outrage was aroused by this discrepancy, and the UP administration was criticized by many for its inadequate crowd control.

Akhilesh Yadav Responds to maha Kumbh's VIP culture

Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, too expressed his displeasure. Yadav asked the authorities to put the needs of the pilgrims ahead of VIP preparations, sharing videos of people battling to get to the Sangam. "The government should ensure smooth transport for pilgrims instead of creating difficulties due to VIP protocols. The maha Kumbh should be about special arrangements for the devotees, not the dignitaries," Yadav wrote on X.

He also underlined how crucial it is to approach this event with a service-oriented mindset rather than one of self-aggrandizement, and he urged the government to improve facilities for pilgrims as well as the authorities who toil diligently to oversee it.
