One of the greatest sleeper hits of Sanjay Dutt's professional career was his cult masterpiece Vaastav. Despite having a terrible box office debut, the movie gathered up speed and became one of Sanjay Dutt's finest films. The movie's creators intended to develop a sequel called Hathyar after it was deemed a moderate hit at the box office, but it was a complete failure.
 
The film's producers, mahesh manjrekar and sanjay dutt, are set to reunite for the much anticipated sequel after 26 years of Vaastav. Although Hathyar was not formally announced as a sequel of the same name, negotiations are now underway for Vaastav 2. Several reports claim that the movie will be a continuation of the Vaastav series rather than a follow-up to the first chapter. Shooting may begin at the end of 2025, and the screenplay calls for two primary leads.
 
Currently, producers are looking for a young, fearless actor that can portray the main character's younger self. Vaastav 2 might rank among the most popular gangster movies in the nation if the screenplay and acting are spot on. Given that sanjay dutt has recently appeared in a number of Pan-Indian films, this may be the ideal return for the well-known actor. As they work to make Vaastav 2 a reality for the audience, it is unclear how things will work out for the producers and Sanjay Dutt.
