In Buldhana, Maharashtra, a very uncommon medical occurrence occurred when a baby was found within the womb of an unborn kid. Two days ago, when a 32-year-old lady had a sonography, a case of "foetus-in-fetu" was discovered at a government hospital. just 200 examples of this uncommon congenital defect have been reported globally, with just 15 to 20 of those occurrences occurring in India.

Gynecologist Dr. prasad Agarwal, who found the non-developing fetus, stated, "I was initially surprised and then carefully re-examined the images." He went on to say, "It was a case of a foetus-in-fetu."

Due to its extraordinary rare and unpredictable nature, this aberration was missed in previous examinations, and the woman was in her ninth month of pregnancy.

Since this is a very uncommon ailment, no one can even fathom that it may exist, which is why the earlier sonography missed it. Thus, I conducted a thorough investigation with a few medical professionals and verified it," Dr. Agarwal stated.

According to Buldhana hospital civil surgeon Dr. Bhagwat Bhusari, "the mother is likely to have a normal delivery." "But after the birth, the baby might need medical care right away," he continued.

Although the precise source of this illness is unknown, it is thought to be caused by an aberration that occurred during the development of identical twins. Since the parasitic twin cannot survive on its own, it is regarded as a developmental aberration rather than a legitimate twin pregnancy.
