At Least 6 Injured In Massive Vehicle Pile-Up On delhi Meerut Expressway: VIDEO
Six individuals sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle pile-up on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway caused by dense fog. The accident resulted in traffic congestion.
At least 6 persons were injured after a multi-vehicle collision among several vehicles, leading to a pile-up on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, early on Wednesday, january 29. The accident occurred in the Bhojpur police station, due to dense fog. The accident caused a traffic jam. The police rushed to the spot and helped clear the area. They also sent the injured to the hospital.
According to several media reports, around 25 vehicles were involved in the accident.
The Delhi-Meerut Expressway is infamous for the sheer number of accidents it sees every winter due to dense fog. Here's a video of a 2023 accident:
Two Killed In Amethi Accident
Earlier on Wednesday, two devotees lost their lives in a road accident. The accident took place in Amethi when a high-speed SUV collided with a state transport bus. Nine people traveling in a Bolero vehicle were injured in the crash.
Police reached the scene upon receiving information and rushed all the injured to the hospital for treatment. Doctors at the hospital declared two of the devotees dead, while seven others were referred to the Pratapgarh district hospital.
The accident occurred near Trishundi in the Ramganj police station area while the devotees were on their way to the maha Kumbh at Prayagraj Sangam late at night. All the devotees involved in the accident are said to be residents of Siddharthnagar district.
The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for autopsy. They are also carrying out legal proceedings related to the incident.
