The united states is reexamining the origins of COVID-19, five years after the World health Organization deemed it a worldwide health emergency. donald trump, who dubbed the new coronavirus the "China virus," is back in the white house at the same time. The globe hasn't obtained a conclusion on the origins of the virus, which killed millions and drove the planet to shut down. Did the new coronavirus escape from a wuhan, china, facility that dealt with lethal viruses? Congressmen from the united states are calling for an explanation and a price tag on China.

A 'Public health Emergency of international Concern' was declared by the World health Organization (WHO) on january 30, 2020. The highly contagious Covid-19 virus initially appeared in china in the second half of 2019. From then, it killed around seven million people and spread throughout the world.

A WHO delegation of independent scientists was denied entrance to the wuhan Institute of Virology in january 2021, which is why china will always be viewed with distrust. The group was investigating the origins of the virus that causes COVID-19, SARS-CoV2.

Days before trump was to become president, in mid-January, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee asked 14 U.S. agencies to provide information on the origin of COVID-19 and the research done in a Chinese facility with U.S. support. senator Rand Paul, a Republican, made the announcement.

The CIA has changed its official stance on the origins of COVID, now favoring a lab leak over accidental animal-to-human transmission.

The State Department, the FBI, the CIA, the Department of health and Human services (HHS), the US Agency for international Development (USAID), the National Institutes of health (NIH), and the State Department are among the 14 entities that were subpoenaed.

AMERICAN CONGRESSMEN SEEK OF COVID-19 ANSWERS
Inquiries into who approved the use of US monies for research at the wuhan center of Virology—the Chinese research center where Covid-19 is said to have originated—have been made by senator Rand Paul.

The pardon of Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), by former US President Joe Biden makes this matter much more significant.

According to a Politico story, Rand Paul claimed that the wuhan Institute's coronavirus research was supported by NIAID, a branch of NIH. Paul has also questioned why, considering its role in high-risk pathogen research, EcoHealth Alliance, a US-based organization that worked with the wuhan Institute, was not given further attention. Earlier last month, EcoHealth was prohibited.

According to Paul, the investigation's objective is to critically examine the procedure that permitted risky research—which may have caused the pandemic—to be conducted in a foreign nation using hazardous practices. In order to avoid making the same mistake twice, he wants to make sure that proper monitoring is in place moving ahead.
