3 Killed, 16 Injured As Slab Collapses At Cement Factory In MP's Panna
Three workers died and 16 were injured due to a slab collapse at a cement factory in Madhya Pradesh.
Three workers were killed while 16 others were injured after a slab collapsed at a cement factory in Madhya Pradesh's Panna district.
The incident occurred when a portion of an under-construction slab collapsed at the JK Cement factory.
According to sources, police teams reached the spot upon receiving the information, and a rescue operation was launched .Given the security, entry inside the factory has been completely stopped and police and administration teams are undertaking efforts to evacuate the trapped workers.
The workers were working as usual at the JK Cement factory located in village Pagra under the Simaria police station area in the Panna district. Suddenly the slab of the under-construction part of the plant fell, due to which many workers got buried under the slab.
There has been no official word on how the accident happened
Congress leader Umang Singhar expressed grief over this incident. "The news of the death of many people in the accident due to slab collapse at JK Cement Plant in Panna is heart-wrenching. I pray for the peace of the souls of the deceased and speedy recovery of the injured," said the congress leader in a post on X.
Singhar demanded the Bharatiya Janata Party-led madhya pradesh government call for a probe into the cause behind the accident and appropriate compensation for the deceased.
Meanwhile, the workers are staging a protest following the accident.
