A dashcam footage of a tiny plane colliding into a busy crossroads close to Philadelphia's Roosevelt Mall on saturday (IST) has gone viral on social media. There were six passengers aboard the plane.

In a residential region with a high population density, the disaster occurred only 30 seconds after the aircraft took off, resulting in panic, flames, and explosions.

The Learjet 55 is shown in the video plummeting from the sky in a white streak before colliding with the earth and igniting into a huge flame.

The collision rocked the neighborhood, igniting houses and strewing rubble all across the junction of a major road and a shopping center.

The aircraft was traveling to Springfield-Branson National airport in Missouri when it crashed at around 11:30 PM GMT (4:00 AM IST), according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the FAA will both be looking into what caused the incident, the FAA announced.

Jet Rescue, an air ambulance service located in Mexico, owns the Learjet 55, a plane commonly used for medical deliveries. Jet Rescue is renowned for its ability to provide critically injured patients with emergency air transport. One of their well-known instances is the 2019 flight of baseball icon David Ortiz to Boston following his shooting in the Dominican Republic.

Two days prior, in Washington, D.C., an American airlines airplane and an army helicopter collided in midair, killing all 67 persons on board and making it the worst air catastrophe to strike the united states in almost 25 years.
