After a long break, akshay kumar and priyadarshan will work together again in the forthcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. The project's filming is now underway, with completion anticipated in march of this year. According to the most recent information, mithila palkar has been cast in a significant part by the producers. According to an informant, Mithila will play Akshay Kumar's sister in the movie, and her role is crucial to the plot. She has twenty-five days to shoot.

There are two more female leads in addition to Mithila: tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi. Additionally, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani—who have consistently appeared in Priyadarshan's films throughout the years—have been cast entirely. The movie will be released on april 2, 2026, even though production will be finished this year. Given that priyadarshan and Akshay have collaborated on several films in the past, the producers are unwilling to make any concessions in order to release a successful movie.

The starring females Mithila, tabu, and Wamiqa may not receive enough screen time because Akshay will be the primary focus of the movie. The major plot, however, will determine whether or not each character need an equal amount of screen time. Akshay has been going through a terrible time in his profession. Even though his most recent picture, Sky Force, has been well received and ticket sales have been stronger than those of his previous films, it is still unclear if the movie will become a "blockbuster."

Audiences have particularly expressed their enthusiasm for Bhooth Bangla, one of Akshay's next ventures, since it would revive a popular combo on film. It is still unclear if Bhooth Bangla would be able to restart Akshay's career.
