In 2006, kangana ranaut won the Filmfare Award for Best Female début for her acting début in the movie Gangster. Over the course of her nearly two-decade career, she has produced 31 films, 22 of which have been labeled failures. Emergency, her most recent film and directing debut, is her sixth straight failure. kangana is well-known for her daring decisions and acting prowess. She has, however, unable to produce a single successful movie since 2015.

Even while her performance has received several accolades from critics, the box office results paint a different picture. She has released eleven films in the past ten years, ten of them were box office failures. The 2019 exception was Manikarnika: The queen of Jhansi, which ended up being a mediocre movie with a lifetime total of Rs. 92.19 crores. She has become a well-known actor in the past ten years, mostly due to her solo endeavors. There has been a significant discrepancy between the box office success of her films and their selection.

The single-digit lifetime totals for her most recent three films, Tejas, Dhaakad, and Thalaivii, are especially worrisome. In their lifetimes, none of the three had made more than Rs 5 crores. Despite her enormous artistic growth, Kangana's off-screen character has begun to influence her on-screen demeanor. When viewing her on film, the audience is unable to distinguish between the actor's two identities.

Trade analysts believe that a third installment of Kangana's well-liked movie Tanu Weds manu might help her break out of her rut in the age of sequels and remakes. With her films, kangana has been taking chances by showcasing strong female characters and unorthodox plots. She hasn't been fortunate with box office results that demonstrate her progress as an artist, though. She still has a lot of fight left in her, so maybe we'll see her return soon.
