In it, he had said that the current value of the makhana industry in india is Rs 3000 crore, and in the next two to three years it will become an industry worth Rs 6000 crore. He said that makhana exports are growing at a rate of 25 percent every year, and he said that there are great job opportunities in this. It is in this context that Union Finance minister nirmala sitharaman has announced that a board will be set up to give importance to the production, sale, and marketing of makhana in India.
