This notice has been given by the bjp against both the leaders for insulting the President. 40 bjp MPs have supported this notice. In the notice, bjp MPs wrote, we are writing this with great disappointment about some unparliamentary, insulting comments made recently by sonia Gandhi. sonia Gandhi's comments against the President need serious consideration and disciplinary action.
Referring to sonia Gandhi's statement, bjp MPs said, we highlight this statement with deep concern. This appears to insult the stature and dignity of the President of India, the highest constitutional authority of our country. Such comments not only undermine the dignity of the President's office but also violate the sanctity of parliamentary procedures and traditions. It is important to point out that sonia gandhi cannot in any way get the benefit of parliamentary privileges for her statement against the Hon'ble President. The letter also mentions the supreme Court's decision in raja Ram Pal vs Hon'ble Speaker Lok Sabha.
Sonia gandhi commented on this immediately after the President's address. Talking to journalists in the Parliament premises, she said, "Poor lady, she was very tired. The poor thing was having difficulty speaking." On the other hand, Pappu Yadav had said that the President is just a stamp, he only has to read love letters. bjp had objected to these statements of both the leaders.
