This time a total budget of Rs 74,427.41 crores has been presented. In which there has been an increase of 14.19 percent as compared to last year's budget of Rs 65180.79 crores. A provision of Rs 43,162 crores has been made for the development of basic amenities of Mumbai. mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Administrator bhushan Gagrani presented this budget.

The budget will be applicable to these projects


The first phase of the reconstruction of Gopal krishna Gokhale Bridge, Andheri has been completed. The second phase is planned to be completed by april 2025.

Construction of Pedestrian Underpass (PUP) has started to connect Nehru Science Center to Dr. Annie Besant Road, 14 percent of which is complete.


35 percent of the work of extension of Cable Stayed ROB on Keshavrao Khadaye Marg near Mahalaxmi railway station has been completed.

Construction of new road and diversion from south side of Mahalaxmi Bridge to NM Joshi Marg is 10 percent complete.


Reconstruction of Over Bridge (ROB) between mumbai Central and Grant Road railway station is 5 percent complete.


Flyover construction from Juhu Versova Junction to DN Nagar, Bariwala Road is 3 percent complete.


Demolishing the dilapidated traffic bridge on S.V. Road over Oshiwara Nala and constructing a new bridge (Phase-II) is 2 percent complete so far.


The extension of the Mrinaltai Gore Flyover from ram mandir Road to Relief Road (P/South Ward) is 65 percent complete.

BMC's crores budget for the environment


A budget of Rs 113.18 crore has been proposed for the environment department for the year 2025-26. Under the mumbai Climate Action Plan, focus has been laid on energy, transport, waste management, green areas, air quality and water resource management. Let us tell you that mumbai is the fourth city in the world to issue a Green Budget Book, in which 32% of the capital budget comes under the Climate Action Plan.


These steps are taken by BMC to control air pollution.


Compliance with 28-point guidelines is mandatory at construction sites.


95 teams (engineers, cleanup marshals, police) should be formed for inspection.


67 tankers (5000 liters) and 39 tankers (9000 liters) will be used for washing roads daily.


Mechanized cleaning will be done for cleaning 250 km of roads every day.


new air quality monitoring stations and 4 mobile vans will be installed.


100 battery-operated suction machines will be purchased to control dust.


Citizens can complain about air pollution through the mumbai air App.


IIT Kanpur's "MANAS" project proposed, that pollution levels will be monitored with inexpensive sensors.


BMC and IITM pune will jointly create an advanced air quality forecast system, which will provide information about pollution 72 hours in advance.


There is a plan to convert bakeries running on wood/fossil fuel to clean fuel (PNG, electricity).


It is mandatory to follow air pollution control rules in BMC projects also.
