Radhe shyam is regarded as one of Telugu's greatest flops. In addition to being a financial loss, the movie was a complete box office bust. Following the film's failure, pooja hegde, the lead actress, too came under heavy fire. But because of the failure, she now appears in another tamil movie. pooja said today that she was offered Retro by filmmaker karthik Subbaraj as a result of Radhe Shyam.

"My job in Retro is very different. It has a distinct personality. Every character in South has a mystery, which is one of my favorite things about it. Because karthik Subbaraj liked my emotional sequences in Radhe Shyam, I was cast in Retro. He thus believed that he could utilize me in a movie like this," pooja hegde revealed.
 
"It only takes one filmmaker to put everything else aside and see you and your performance in one film," the actress continued. In the movie, pooja hegde portrays Suriya's wife, who has several facets. It's not your typical action-packed karthik Subbaraj movie. The film's director portrays it as a true love tale set against a backdrop of several action scenes.
 
Retro is now pooja Hegde's sole significant wager in the South. She didn't sign any film deals in the South after a string of failures. She will be back on demand if Retro is a success, so we'll have to see if she has the stage presence and potential to get a role in another movie. She also possesses Vijay's Jana Nayagan, which can alter everything for her.
