The plot is inspired by the hollywood movie 'Breakdown' and Magizh Thirumeni has incorporated a few changes to ensure the movie suits the taste of the tamil audience. arjun and Kayal are traveling by car and the car gets into trouble in the middle of the desert. Kayal agrees to a ride with a friendly trucker (Arjun as Rakshit) who promises to get them help. When she doesn't return, arjun drives back to find the trucker, only to be shocked when he tells her he doesn't know what he's talking about! Did arjun find Kayal? What happened to her forms the rest of the story.
Magizh Thirumeni proves his writing efficiency once again as the screenplay fits into the next with pinpoint precision. For instance, the hindi movie 'Jab We Met' was remade as 'Kanden Kaadhalai' in tamil, and director Kannan would have cleverly incorporated Santhanam's comedy character arc without disrupting the flow of the original movie. Similarly, Magizh has been brilliant with his writing and elaborating the story arc without ruining the original premise.

It's so good to see AK as a commoner who faces an unimaginable danger and he has delivered one of the finest performances yet again. Another big strength is the action is believable. arjun makes an indelible impression next to Ajith. It’s a spectacular, larger-than-life portrait of captivating villainy. Trisha, Regina Cassandra, Aarav, Nikhil Nair, and the whole supporting cast are simply perfect. The movie goes from being a paranoia thriller throwback to a cat-and-mouse tale of subterfuge to a full-throttle vehicular chase flick, and it's incredibly awesome. Anirudh's music is a big asset. It's not the usual telugu masala music that you expect though!
Cinematographer Om Prakash deserves a special mention. The incredibly bright, desert-like sun glows like liquid gold.  The night scenes are enhanced with deeper hues, especially the black tones of the shadows. The dialogue is crisp, and the soundtrack and score are beautifully presented. The film moves at a swift, nerve-wracking pace due to some brilliant editing work. director Magizh has delivered a taut, well-crafted suspense movie that delivers the paranoid goods.
Overall, The movie is such a Well-written, Crackerjack, Nerve-Jangling, Heart-in-your-Throat Affair That’s Anchored by AK
