Bollywood star sonu sood is the subject of an arrest order issued by a criminal court in Ludhiana, Punjab, in relation to a fraud case. Ramanpreet Kaur, the Judicial Magistrate of Ludhiana, issued the warrant after Sood, who was called to testify in a ₹10 lakh fraud case, failed to show up for court, according to ANI.
 

"Sonu Sood has been duly served with summon(s) or warrant(s) but he/she has failed to attend (absconds and keeps out of the way for the purpose of avoiding service of a summon(s) or warrant(s)). You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring the said sonu sood before the court," reads the order.

The summons is related to a fraud case that Rajesh Khanna, a lawyer from Ludhiana, filed against a man named Mohit Shukla. In the lawsuit, Shukla claimed that he was tricked into purchasing the phony Rijika coin.
 
The matter's next hearing is set for february 10, 2025.
 
The officer in charge of Mumbai's Oshiwara police station has been ordered by a court order dated january 29 to make an arrest and take the actor to court.


"SONU SOOD, (S/o, W/o, D/o) resident of R/O H.NO 605/606 Casablanc Apartment, has been duly served with summon(s) or warrant(s) but he/she has failed to attend (absconds and keeps out of the way for the purpose of avoiding service of a summon(s) or warrant(s)). You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring the said sonu sood before the court," reads the order.

The order further reads, "You are hereby directed to return this warrant on or before 10-02-2025 with an endorsement certifying the day on and the manner in which it has been executed, or the reason why it has not been executed."


On the professional front, sonu sood took on the role of director with his gripping thriller "Fateh," which debuted in theaters on january 10.
