Prime minister Narendra Modi interacted with celebrities from various fields including art, music, and business at the WAVES Summit 2025.
 Prime minister Narendra Modi held an important meeting on friday with key celebrities in connection with the World Audio-Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025). Celebrities from various fields including amitabh bachchan and mukesh ambani attended the meeting. The government plans to make WAVES 2025 the Davos of the entertainment industry to make india a global entertainment hub.

WAVES Summit:

The WAVES Summit is considered to be India's largest global event, bringing together entertainment, creativity and culture on one platform. The summit's advisory board includes celebrities from india and around the world, who will take the initiative to new heights.
PM Modi:

After the meeting, PM Modi posted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), "The extensive meeting of the WAVES Advisory Council concluded a while ago. This global summit is a major initiative to bring the world of entertainment, creativity, and culture on a single platform. The advisory council members are eminent personalities from various fields, who reaffirmed their commitment and also shared important recommendations on how to make india a global entertainment hub.

Why is WAVES special for the entertainment sector?

The WAVES Summit 2025 will be held later this year and will be a platform to take India's media and entertainment economy to the global stage. The government is promoting it under the 'Create in India' campaign to give international recognition to indian films, music, animation, gaming, and OTT platforms.

Rahman, Akshay Kumar, ranbir kapoor and deepika Padukone.
