Chunky Panday, ananya Panday's father, spoke up about the movie over three years after Liger's failure, stating that his daughter was first hesitant to participate. According to Chunky, ananya was uneasy since she believed she was too young for the position. Chunky revealed that he persuaded ananya to accept the role. Chunky even remembered telling his daughter that he thought Liger was the ideal pick for ananya because it was a popular and commercial movie.
 
According to Chunky, he has never offered his daughter employment advice since he believes he is too traditional and that a movie only succeeds when it has great action scenes, dialogue, and music. He added that he would not have objected to being in the starring role of ananya in Call Me Bae.
 
Although ananya has not yet addressed her father's remarks, she previously accused him of ordering her to make the movie during an appearance on the We Are Yuvaa YouTube channel. One of the worst catastrophes of 2022 was Liger. It was directed by puri jagannadh and was meant to lead to another collaboration with vijay deverakonda on a movie called Jana Gana Mana. However, because of Liger's failure, the project was finally canceled. Following the COVID-19 epidemic, vijay deverakonda and ananya Panday have been having difficulty delivering a hit.
