PM Modi france Visit-will participate in AI summit!

Prime minister narendra modi arrived on a visit to france on monday (today - february 10, 2025). During this, PM Modi will co-chair the AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron in paris, hold bilateral talks with him and address business leaders.

PM narendra modi was given a grand welcome at paris airport. During this, PM Modi was also given a guard of honor. French Defense minister Sebastian Lecornu arrived at the airport to receive PM Modi.

The two leaders are also scheduled to visit the Mazargues war Cemetery managed by the Commonwealth war Graves Commission in Marseille on wednesday (February 12, 2025) and pay tribute to the indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the First World War. Later the same day, the prime minister will visit the US as part of the second leg of his two-nation visit. 


Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs on Monday shared a video depicting the relationship between india and France. The spokesperson wrote in the post along with the video, "Prime minister narendra modi is going to paris to co-chair the AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron. Take a look at the broad aspects of the special India-France relationship."

According to the information given in the video, this will be PM Modi's sixth visit to France. In a special briefing on february 7, Foreign Secretary vikram Misri shared the detailed program of the Prime Minister's visit to France. Modi will arrive in paris on monday and attend a dinner hosted by Macron at the Elysee Palace, which is likely to be attended by other dignitaries invited to the summit as well as a large number of CEOs of the technology sector.

The prime minister will co-chair the AI Action Summit on february 11 with Macron. Misri told reporters that he will hold discussions in both specific and delegation-level formats and address the India-France CEO Forum. The prime minister is also scheduled to inaugurate India's new Consulate General in Marseille with Macron.

The two leaders will later visit the international Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) site at Cadarache, a high-science project that india is part of along with other countries. Last year, india and france celebrated the 25th anniversary of their strategic partnership, which covered all issues from defence and security, civil nuclear affairs, space to trade, economy and commerce. The relationship is now expanding to new areas such as innovation and technology, maritime security cooperation, counter-terrorism, health cooperation, renewable energy and development cooperation, Misri said.
