There is a severe traffic delay affecting the pilgrims traveling to the Prayagraj maha Kumbh. The Katni police had to call for the individuals with folded hands to come back since the situation had gotten so bad.
 
Mahakumbh 2025: There is a severe traffic bottleneck with pilgrims traveling to the Prayagraj maha Kumbh. The major route that leads to Prayagraj via Jabalpur, Katni, and Rewa is congested for several kilometers. The Katni police had to call for the individuals with folded hands to come back since the situation had gotten so bad.


In Prayagraj, thousands of pilgrims have arrived to participate in the current maha Kumbh. This road is also used by devotees traveling from South india to Prayagraj, which has resulted in a significant rise in traffic. On Sunday, the situation deteriorated, causing thousands of cars to be stopped on the highway. There are lengthy lines of cars spanning ten to fifteen kilometers. Traffic control is a major challenge for Katni police.
 

The police urged the followers to go back to their homes.
 
With their hands folded, Katni police officers are pleading with the devotees. "Please go back; Allahabad's roadways are absolutely congested. Stay in dhabas and motels in the area. The travel is really tough because of the large number of people. The police estimate that the traffic gridlock has reached 200 to 300 kilometers. Contacts with Prayagraj police are ongoing, but it will take some time for things to return to normal.
