Dil Raju, who started making a lot of money from the beginning, started producing films seriously. He produced telugu films with many leading actors. He also made his debut as a producer in tamil with the film 'Varisu' directed by director Vamsi in 2023, starring Thalapathy Vijay as the hero. Although this film was made on a big budget, it did not make a huge profit, but it did not earn a bad amount of money for the first time. With the same hope, dil raju produced the 'Game Changer' movie, which was released on the occasion of pongal this year, on a budget of about 400 crores. Directed by Shankar, the film starred ram Charan, kiara advani, Anjali, SJ Surya, Srikanth, Sunil, Jayaram, Samuthirakani, and many others. It was also said that a total of 70 crores was spent on directing just one song in the film. It was said that this song scene was shot with an infrared camera. Later, the film crew said that due to some technical issues, this song was not included in the film initially but was later included again.
The story of this film was written by karthik Subbaraj. Although the film was a critical success, it failed to succeed at the box office. The reason is that this film can be made on a budget of 50 to 60 crores, so why spend 400 crores on this? Fans were saying that many things that fans expect from director Shankar's films were missed in this film. This film, which was made at a cost of over 400 crores, collected only 178 crores.
Producer dil Raj has incurred a huge loss by making this film. It is said that dil raju has taken an important decision in the matter of film production. Accordingly, instead of making big-budget films like Game Changer, he has decided to make films like 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam' that will give good profits on low and medium budgets. While only a few producers like dil raju have made big-budget films in Andhra Pradesh, this is said to have become a disadvantage for some leading heroes. While actors like Allu Arjun, Jr. NTR, ram Charan, and prabhas have been targeting only big-budget films recently, his decision is a blow to them.
