With some significant revelations as the newest squad in the MCU comes together (whether they like it or not), the new trailer for Marvel's Thunderbolts* is tremendously thrilling. This new squad, which includes Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), red Guardians (David Harbor), U.S.Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), will unite to confront what appears to be one of the greatest dangers in the history of the MCU. Therefore, it is worthwhile to analyze the epic trailer.

The Avengers Still Haven't Assembled
In any case, Val's assurance in this new Thunderbolts* teaser that "The Avengers are not coming" implies that by the time this new MCU film takes place, there won't be an official squad of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. This implies that Ross and sam won't agree on a new Avengers lineup in Brave New World, one that Ross probably wants sanctioned and governed by the US government. However, given that the next two Avengers films are quickly approaching, one would assume that sam will begin recruiting before the conclusion of Brave New World.

The Void Will Make Its MCU Debut Alongside Sentry
Yelena makes the amusing remark in the teaser that this new squad is primarily made up of "people who can punch and shoot." It's difficult to see how they could possibly defeat someone like the Sentry and all of his strength, especially when the teaser basically confirms that The Void will be the primary danger in the film. However, because wiping Bob's memory was the initial method of dealing with The Void, it's possible that the forthcoming new MCU film may use a similar strategy.

Val's Plans Don't Look Very Secret
Speaking before a hearing on the need for new defenders for the American people, Val's intentions to assemble a new team of spies don't appear to be as secretive as some may have assumed, considering that she is the CIA Director. Rather, it appears that she is totally committed to positioning the Thunderbolts—despite their inadequacies, foibles, and darker pasts—as the next great band of heroes to take the place of the Avengers. Nevertheless, Val's squad under the current situation is probably going to be the Thunderbolts, not the team she would have chosen.

Bucky Barnes Is Working For Val
It is implied that Bucky Barnes has been employed by Val for a considerable amount of time as he is seated at the same hearing. She does appear to be the type of person who would want to support his skill and commitment to work hard. Similar to john Walker's U.S.Agent, it is probable that Bucky was employed by Val as a CIA agent shortly after the Falcon and the Winter Soldier incident in 2021.

Bucky Brings The Thunderbolts Together (By Force)
Bucky attacks the limousine transporting red Guardian, Yelena, Walker, and Ava Starr's Ghost in the first trailer for Thunderbolts*. Since he had caught them to get their assistance (probably to fight The Sentry), it is hinted in the second trailer that he was doing it for Val. In light of this, it's a somewhat entertaining notion that this new group of heroes was essentially enlisted and had to be coerced into working as a unit for the sake of society.
