While performing a bench press at the gym, a man had a terrible encounter when he became trapped beneath a hefty barbell. In the YouTube video, a woman tries to assist him while he struggles with the weight. However, she lacks the strength to remove the barbell from him. When the metal slides off his chest and becomes lodged at his neck, the situation worsens.

Online users were taken aback. "He was fortunate to live," someone wrote. Strong training is a must, not an option. Some suggested that rather than attempting to raise the bar, the woman ought to have taken off the weight plates.

This incident demonstrates the dangers of lifting large weights unsupervised. To avoid major injuries like muscle rips or joint dislocations, a trainer or spotter is essential.

Exercise is also safer and more efficient when someone is there to assist. Trainers ensure that individuals raise weights safely and with the proper technique. If performed incorrectly, exercises like the deadlift, squat, and bench press can be harmful. It is not just helpful to have a spotter for anyone lifting large weights. It may even save lives. That being said, the person who notices you is at least competent.
