Corporate bookings and exaggerated box office receipts have become the industry's ugly secret, and Bollywood's reputation is eroding. Not only have the majority of bollywood films failed miserably in 2025, but there is also a frightening amount of desperate attempts to create hits.

When Sky Force rekindled the discussion over corporate bookings, some trade experts criticized the industry's manipulative strategies, sparking the uproar. Bollywood's box office numbers have been openly questioned by renowned trade analysts Himesh Mankad and Joginder Tuteja, who have shown how the business is beset by self-bookings to fabricate success tales.

Himesh Mankad even went so far as to refer to this approach as a "virus" that would infect all 2025 film releases, forcing viewers to question whether any stated box office numbers are accurate. Similar worries were expressed by Joginder Tuteja, who described the situation as "out of control" and warned that this trend would soon come to a stop on its own. In the midst of all chaos, kamaal r khan has called into question Chhaava and warned the film's producers that he will be monitoring its reservations.

Massive pre-booking statistics have already been reported by Chhaava, which sold 25,000 seats in a matter of days. On Sunday, an alarming 5,500 tickets were sold every hour. The numbers resemble previous instances of purported corporate bookings uncannily. Maddock Films has been directly accused by several social media users of employing the same strategies they reportedly employed for Munjya and stree 2. Even if there isn't any hard evidence yet, it's hard to deny the growing notion that bollywood is manipulating the box office. Chhaava might be the next name on Bollywood's expanding list of exaggerated "blockbusters" if these claims prove to be accurate.
