PM Modi left for America from France!
Prime minister Narendra Modi left for America on wednesday (February 12, 2025) after completing his two-day visit to France. French President Emmanuel Macron arrived to see him off. In America, Prime minister Modi will hold a delegation-level bilateral meeting with President Trump.
Earlier during his visit to france, he co-chaired the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit. He also held bilateral discussions with Macron. Foreign Secretary vikram Misri said that prime minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron held bilateral discussions on the presidential plane during his visit from paris to Marseille. He said that India-France relations have touched completely new heights.
Foreign Secretary briefed on PM Modi's visit to France
While briefing the media in france about PM Modi's visit, Misri said that the two leaders exchanged views on recent geopolitical developments in Europe, West Asia and the Indo-Pacific region and discussed issues of global and regional importance. Modi and Macron co-chaired the AI Action Summit in paris, attended the India-France CEO Forum and later left for Marseilles in the evening.
The Foreign Secretary said that they went to Marseilles in the 'French Presidential plane' and described it as 'an extraordinary gesture by President Macron, a symbol of deep personal trust between the two leaders and their extraordinary respect for each other'. Misri said, "You can say that India-France relations have really touched new heights." He said that some bilateral discussions also took place in Marseilles. He said, "The discussions covered all aspects of our deep and diverse strategic partnership." The Foreign Secretary said that they reviewed bilateral cooperation in the areas of defence, space and civil nuclear cooperation, health and people-to-people relations. vikram Misri said that AI was a 'key area' of bilateral discussion between the two sides.
