After a traffic collision on VIP Road, a startling instance of human trafficking and a sex racket connected to a global network emerged in Raipur.

Police investigations revealed a group with ties to mumbai and uzbekistan that operated in many places. In the end, a police operation in kolkata led to the arrest of the racket's mastermind. Bhavesh acharya, a DRI lawyer, and a Uzbek lady were detained on murder charges following the february 5 collision.

Three ladies from delhi and hyderabad were arrested after further investigations revealed a broader operation, which resulted in the imprisonment of two local agents, ravi Thackeray and Mohan. Other agents were arrested as a consequence of raids in kolkata, Kawardha, Ambikapur, and Raipur.

With the assistance of employees from his entertainment business in mumbai, the mastermind, who operated out of kolkata, operated a sex racket throughout the whole state. He completed transactions after receiving online payments by sending clients images of women over WhatsApp, Locanto, and other websites.

Brokers charged customers between ₹25,000 and ₹40,000 to cover travel and accommodation expenses, while the ladies, who were primarily foreign nationals, were paid between ₹7,000 and ₹9,000 per day.

It was discovered after police questioning that Nora (name changed), a Uzbek woman, had traveled to raipur on january 30 after arriving in mumbai on a tourist visa on january 20. On january 31, she stayed with lawyer Bhavesh acharya at a hotel on VIP Road after meeting him through a broker.

They reconnected at the same hotel on february 5–6. The lawyer was further linked to the scheme when police discovered two bank transactions from his account totaling ₹27,000. When authorities searched Saraswati nagar after the accident, they discovered that Nora's possessions had been stolen before they arrived.

They found her buddy Sofia (name changed) lodging at another hotel on VIP Road as a result of their investigations. When Sofia was arrested, it became clear that she had participated in the operation as well.

Additionally, a cab driver who served as a liaison between the foreign ladies and their customers was taken into custody. Nora and Sofia were placed in separate hotels after it was revealed that she had been brought to raipur on special request. To find other links in this global trafficking network, the authorities are currently expanding their probe.
