What, then, qualifies as a bollywood star? Ability? Hard work? Hype on social media? If the box office doesn't support it, none of it counts. One of the best examples of an actor who puts his all to his parts but yet fails to produce successes is shahid Kapoor. Does all that skill even matter if no one is watching?

Do you recall Kabir Singh? Experts in the box office estimate that it brought in ₹278.24 Cr. That ought to have been Shahid's pass to stardom. However, what followed? jersey barely made ends meet with ₹27.9 Cr. Although it wasn't a huge hit, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha jiya was entertaining.

Is shahid picking the wrong movies, or is the business evolving too quickly for him? Although his performances are always strong, his films don't have the kind of widespread appeal that draws audiences to cinemas. Consider kartik aaryan (Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2), hrithik roshan (War, Fighter), or ranbir kapoor (Animal). They are selecting movies that strike a balance between financial success and substance. Even with all of his brilliance, shahid falls short.

To be honest, no amount of publicity can make a failure into a success. If people aren't purchasing tickets, social media excitement, positive reviews, and claims that "Shahid is a great actor" are meaningless. bollywood is a commercial enterprise. And in this industry, a celebrity's worth is determined by their most recent success. shahid is talented, attractive, and adored by his fans.

But what good is it if he doesn't start picking better movies? He should concentrate on box office winners instead of depending on hype. He can recover if he plays intelligently. Otherwise? He will enter a state of "talented but struggling." He has the option of rising or remaining trapped.
